The energy supply in the Czech Republic should become greener. That is why a C-Energy power plant in South Bohemia is installing Rolls-Royce gas engines with Vestas aircoil charge air coolers. The engines are a 14 meters long and five meters high. They weigh around 170 tons. They are the largest and most powerful medium-speed engines that Rolls-Royce has ever developed and produced. This should set new standards in terms of performance and efficiency. This is because they should enable both extraordinarily low fuel consumption and low emissions of nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, sulfur oxides and soot particles.
