Vestas aircoil is an approved maker of heat exchangers, charge air coolers for 2 and 4 stroke engines running on a selection of fuels, compressor coolers, generator air coolers as well as a variety of other special products, most often related to cooling air.
The key breakthrough for Vestas aircoil came with the development of charge air coolers for Burmeister & Wain in 1956. Since then, Vestas aircoil has become an approved OEM supplier for many of the well-known engine builders.
Vestas aircoil is specialised in cutting edge development for new product applications together with the world’s leading OEM manufacturers and, for more than six decades, Vestas aircoil has been one of the world’s leading specialists in the development, technology and manufacturing of those heat exchangers.
A selection of cooler types is shown below
Charge air coolers
Providing optimal power and fuel consumption
A charge air cooler is used to cool engine air after it has passed through a turbocharger before it enters the combustion chambers of the engine.
Cooler performance varies over time.
Historically, air coolers were designed with an additional heat transfer surface area to counter the inevitable build-up of deposits on the airside.
Sustainable and efficient engine emission control
Since 2009 Vestas aircoil has developed and continuously refined a highly effective adaptable Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) unit, which supports engine designers and engine builders in meeting current and future emission regulations and requirements.
Industrial compressed air solutions
Whether in the semiconductor, food, automotive, or other industries, Vestas aircoil compressors coolers prove that process-reliable purity and economic efficiency go well together – even under adverse conditions.
